Business Planning with Maps: “GIS for Business” Workshop by Thammasat Economics

In today’s data-driven business world, the ability to read, analyze, and interpret spatial data is becoming an essential skill — especially in fields like market analysis, branch location strategy, and geographic potential assessment. To address this growing demand, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University proudly presents the workshop: "GIS for Business: Economic Spatial Data Analysis” — one of four major workshops designed to equip students with cutting-edge skills for the modern economy.

This intensive workshop is ideal for both GIS beginners and those seeking to apply geospatial tools to business decision-making. Participants will learn how to build Web Maps, explore Potential Market Identification, perform Catchment Area Analysis, and apply techniques such as Customer Segmentation, Point-of-Interest Mapping, and Spatial Clustering — all of which are widely used by leading global companies to make strategic decisions.

The workshop will be delivered in a hands-on format by two seasoned GIS professionals: Mr. Thantham Khamyai, CTO & Co-Founder, GIS LAB TRUE MIRACLE CO., LTD and Ms. Davida Klangreongrong, Academic Services Center, Chulalongkorn University
