In today’s business landscape, data is not just information — it is power. The ability to understand and utilize data effectively has become a core competency for professionals in every industry. Recognizing this, TMBThanachart Bank (ttb) has joined hands with the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, to launch the "ttb spark academy internship" program — an initiative aimed at preparing young talents to thrive in the world of Data Analytics, especially in the financial sector.

Developing Students Through Real Experience

The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on July 8, 2022, between ttb and Thammasat University. The goal is to equip Thai youth with critical skills in data analytics within the context of financial services — an industry increasingly driven by data. Students selected for the program will gain hands-on experience working with real banking data, while receiving mentorship from seasoned professionals at ttb.

Purposeful Learning in a Data-Driven World

Under the ttb spark initiative, participating students will adopt a data-driven thinking approach to propose new product or service solutions for the bank. From customer engagement strategies and service enhancement to risk management in lending, students will analyze real data to drive meaningful change. The program is designed to foster creativity, encourage open idea-sharing, and cultivate practical skills in a supportive learning environment.

Insights from ttb Leadership

Mr. Piti Tantakasem, Chief Executive Officer of ttb, remarked:

“This collaboration with the Faculty of Economics at Thammasat University marks a key step in developing student potential and advancing our vision of Humanized Digital Banking — a model that creates innovation to genuinely meet customer needs.”
